Legacy Trade-In Program FAQs
What does the Legacy Trade-In Coupon Program give me?
As some legacy Tablo devices cannot be updated to work with new 4th Generation Tablo apps, the Tablo Legacy Trade-in Coupon Program provides eligible customers with a one-time coupon code for $30 off the MSRP price of any new 4th Generation Tablo device.
This is a limited-time offer valid through March 15, 2026. The offer cannot be combined with other coupons or discounts and is only valid on purchases from TabloTV.com.
To take part in the program and redeem their coupon code, eligible participants are not required to physically return their legacy Tablo device.
Is my Tablo model eligible for the Tablo Legacy Trade-In Coupon Program?
All legacy TV-connected Tablo devices, including the Tablo DUAL HDMI and Tablo QUAD HDMI, are eligible for the trade-in program.
Network-connected Tablo legacy devices running firmware versions lower than 2.2.10, which was released in May 2016, are also eligible.
How do I find my Tablo device's MAC number for the coupon code?
Your Tablo's MAC number (or MAC address) can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the device AND on the original packaging. The number will start with 5087.
Create your unique coupon code by combining the prefix TL_ with your Tablo's MAC number. For example: TL_5087XXXXXXXX.
My coupon code isn't working. What should I do?
Your unique coupon code combines the prefix TL_ with your Tablo's MAC number. For example: TL_5087XXXXXXXX.
If your code is not accepted, check the following:
- Have you entered your device's MAC number correctly?
The MAC should start with 5087 followed by eight additional letters and numbers, 12 characters total. Do not include spaces or punctuation. - Have you added the prefix TL_ BEFORE your Tablo device's MAC number?
- Is your Tablo device eligible?
Only eligible devices will have valid MAC numbers for the trade-in coupon. - Are you entering the code at checkout on TabloTV.com?
The code is not valid on any other retailer site. - Are there currently promotional discounts on Tablo devices?
As the code cannot be combined with other codes or discounts, your code will not work during promotional periods or sales.
If you believe your coupon code was declined in error, please contact Tablo Support.
Does my Legacy Trade-In Program coupon code expire?
Yes. The Legacy Trade-in Program is a limited-time offer. The coupon codes are valid through March 15, 2026.
Can I use my Legacy Trade-In Program coupon code at other retailers that carry 4th generation Tablo devices?
No. Legacy Trade-in Program coupon codes are valid only on purchases of 4th Generation Tablo devices on TabloTV.com.
They cannot be used online or in person at any other retailer.
The trade-in coupon code cannot be combined with other discounts or offers.
How do I check which firmware version my legacy network-connected Tablo device is running?
Details about which Tablo firmware version your device is running can be found in your Tablo app under SETTINGS > ABOUT > TABLO DEVICE.
Only network-connected Tablo devices running firmware versions lower than 2.2.10, which was released in May 2016, are eligible for the trade-in coupon program.
Does the 4th generation Tablo work the same way as my Tablo DUAL HDMI or Tablo QUAD HDMI?
No. The 4th Generation Tablo does not connect directly to your television, nor does it come with its own remote control.
Instead, the 4th Generation Tablo connects to your home's Wi-Fi network to stream live and recorded TV to compatible smart TVs, streaming devices, smartphones and tablets throughout your home.
If I upgrade to the 4th generation Tablo, can I cancel my TV Guide Data and/or Premium Service subscriptions?
4th Generation Tablo apps provide subscription-free TV guide data and DVR features.
After upgrading to a 4th Generation Tablo, legacy Tablo device owners may wish to cancel their TV Guide Data Service and/or Premium Service subscriptions.
I live in Canada. Can I still participate in the trade-in coupon program?
Yes! As long as your legacy Tablo device is eligible, you can use your trade-in coupon code to save $30 off the MSRP of a 4th Generation Tablo device.
However, you will need to check out using this link to complete your transaction.
